Set on sprawling green lawns overlooking Narrabri Creek, The Crossing Theatre is designed to cater for residents and visitors alike. This $8 million complex, with its 1000-seat auditorium, glass-cased Riverside Room, exhibition room and twin cinemas, regularly stages large scale conferences, promotions and concerts, screens the latest movies, and caters for private functions such as weddings and parties.

The Crossing Theatre also boasts a café that serves breakfast, lunch, sweets and hot beverages with the best water views in Narrabri. The cafe opens Wednesday to Sunday from 9am to 2pm.

An initiative of Narrabri Shire Council, the theatre is the biggest of its kind in regional NSW. It is also admired throughout the local region for the diverse cultural and artistic opportunities it affords the Narrabri Shire.

The venue was named after its location on the Narrabri Creek, adjacent to one of the first crossing points over this body of water. It began operating in November 2002 and was officially opened by Deputy Prime Minister John Anderson, NSW Minister for Local Government Tony Kelly and Narrabri Shire Mayor Ross Panton OAM on 5 July 2003. It is located on the Newell Highway in Tibbereena Street, Narrabri, close to the Visitor Information Centre.

The Sporting Wall of Fame is located on Tibbereena Street next to the Visitor Information Centre car park entrance.
